1. Who we are

SkinDeveloper.com ("we", "us", "the site") is a fan-made, community-run Minecraft skin editor and gallery. It is not affiliated with Mojang Studios or Microsoft. For any privacy question, contact us at support@skindeveloper.com.

2. Information we collect

We try to collect as little as possible. When you use the site we may store:

• Account details — the username you choose and a securely scrambled (hashed) version of your password. We never store your password in readable form.
• Profile content — anything you choose to add, such as a bio, profile picture, the skins you publish, comments, likes, and who you follow.
• Basic technical data — like most websites, our host may keep standard server logs (for example your browser type and general connection info) to keep the service running and secure.

We do not ask for your real name, address, or payment details. We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to anyone. We don't use your data for anything beyond running this site and (only with your consent) showing ads.

3. How we use it

Your information is used only to run the site: to sign you in, show your profile and skins to the community, let people interact (comments, likes, follows), and to keep the site safe (moderation against rule-breaking).

4. Cookies & similar storage

A "cookie" (or similar local storage) is a small piece of data saved in your browser. We use them in three ways:

• Essential — needed for the site to work, and always on. These are: a login token (keeps you signed in), a note that you entered the site's access password, and your cookie choice itself. They don't track you across other websites.
• Analytics — only if you accept, we may use privacy-friendly analytics to understand general usage. We do not currently run analytics, and we will never use them without your consent.

5. Your choices & rights

• Consent — you can accept or reject non-essential cookies using our banner, and change your mind later via "Cookie settings" in the footer.
• Access & deletion — you can edit your profile at any time, and you can permanently delete your account (and your skins) from your profile page. Deleting your account removes your account record from our database.
• Depending on where you live (for example under UK/EU GDPR or California's CCPA), you may have additional rights to access or remove your data — contact us and we'll help.

6. Children

This site is intended to be family-friendly, but it is a general-audience community and not designed specifically for young children. If you are under the age required for consent in your country, please ask a parent or guardian before creating an account or accepting optional cookies. If you believe a child has given us personal information without consent, contact us and we'll remove it.

7. Data storage & security

Your data is stored in our website's database on our hosting provider. Passwords are hashed, and actions that change data are checked on the server. No online service can be 100% secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information. Please use a strong, unique password.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this page from time to time. Significant changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date above.
